Abstract
Abstract A copying machine includes an apparatus body and a cooling mechanism for cooling the interior of the body. The interior of the body is divided by plates into a first chamber enclosing an exposing unit and a second chamber enclosing an image carrier and a fixing unit. The cooling mechanism includes a cooling duct located between the image carrier and the fixing unit and extending along the image carrier, a first fan for drawing air from the second chamber through the cooling duct, and a second fan arranged in the first chamber so as to draw air therefrom.
