Abstract
Abstract A mounting or carrier for data communications units configured as hand-held units suitable for heavy duty in a motor vehicle, and which permits simple handling of the hand-held units and affords a high functional security as far as the line connection and attachment is concerned. A head pin or lug is mounted to a flange surface on the carrier or support, which engages a keyhole-like aperture in the hand-held unit. A flexibly supported guidance part projects from a console molded at the carrier and cooperates with a recess in the hand-held unit. The electrical line connection points of the carrier are shielded by the guidance part when no hand-held unit is present thereon, and the guidance part additionally functions for actuating a switch.
