Abstract
Abstract A tool insert comprising an abrasive compact (22) bonded to a cemented carbide support (24). The cutting edge of the tool is provided by the periphery (26) of the compact. A plurality of circular, concentric recesses (18), each filled with abrasive compact material (30), extend into the cemented carbide support (24) from the compact/carbide interface (28).
