Abstract
Abstract A filter for use in the filtration of molten metals comprises a ceramic foam having a gasket made from fibrous material surrounding its peripheral surface and a metallic foil, such as aluminum foil, fixed to the gasket, for example by means of an adhesive, around the outer peripheral surface of the gasket.
