Abstract
Abstract An atmospheric pressure ionization mass spectrometer has an interface by which the mass spectrometer is coupled on-line to a liquid chromatograph. This interface comprises an atomization unit which heats and atomizes a sample carried out by a mobile phase from the liquid chromatograph. The atomization unit includes a sample introducing pipe having therein a plurality of thin passages which extend along an axis of the pipe and into which the sample is introduced for atomization.
