Claims Analysis

Total Claims: 11
Claim 1
Independent Claim 47 words
A thermally-transferred color filter array element comprising a transparent support having thereon a thermally-transferred image comprising a repeating mosaic pattern of colorants in a cross-linked polymeric binder having a glass transition temperature T g greater than 150° C., said binder being cross-linked after transfer of said image.
Claim 2
Dependent Claim 47 words
A thermally-transferred color filter array element comprising a transparent support having thereon a thermally-transferred image comprising a repeating mosaic pattern of colorants in a cross-linked polymeric binder having a glass transition temperature T g greater than 150° C., said binder being cross-linked after transfer of said image.
Claim 3
Dependent Claim 15 words
The element of claim 1, wherein said thermally-transferred image comprises one or more sublimable dyes.
Claim 4
Dependent Claim 20 words
The element of claim 1, wherein said pattern consists of a set of red, green and blue additive primary colors.
Claim 5
Dependent Claim 18 words
The element of claim 3, wherein said primary colors are separated from each other by an opaque area.
Claim 6
Dependent Claim 13 words
The element of claim 4, wherein said opaque areas form a black grid.
Claim 7
Dependent Claim 10 words
The element of claim 1, wherein said support is glass.
Claim 8
Dependent Claim 76 words
A process of forming a color filter array element comprising the steps of: (a) imagewise-heating a dye-donor element comprising a support having thereon a dye layer; (b) transferring portions of said dye layer to a dye-receiving element comprising a transparent support having thereon a cross-linkable polymeric binder and a cross-linking agent; (c) said step of imagewise-heating being done in such a way to produce a repeating mosaic pattern of colorants; and (d) cross-linking said polymeric binder.
Claim 9
Dependent Claim 76 words
A process of forming a color filter array element comprising the steps of: (a) imagewise-heating a dye-donor element comprising a support having thereon a dye layer; (b) transferring portions of said dye layer to a dye-receiving element comprising a transparent support having thereon a cross-linkable polymeric binder and a cross-linking agent; (c) said step of imagewise-heating being done in such a way to produce a repeating mosaic pattern of colorants; and (d) cross-linking said polymeric binder.
Claim 10
Dependent Claim 14 words
The process of claim 7, wherein the step of cross-linking is done by heating.
Claim 11
Dependent Claim 15 words
The process of claim 7, wherein the step of cross-linking is done by light exposure.
