Abstract
Abstract In an image recording apparatus in which a photosensitive material is scanned simultaneously with a plurality of light beams different in wavelength to record an image, a line synchronization sensor detects the scanning synchronization of one of the light beams which is selected as a reference light beam, a one-dimensional array sensor spaced a certain distance from the line synchronization sensor in the scanning direction detects the light beams, and the output signals of the sensors are utilized to detect the shift in irradiating position of each of the light beams, whereby the timing of application of the light beams is controlled.
