An electrophotographic photosensitive member according to claim 1, wherein the silicone oil has a linear siloxane structure represented by the following general formula: ##STR9## wherein R 1 , R 2 , R 3 , R 4 , R 5 , R 6 , R 7 and R 8 are respectively an alkyl radical, aryl radical, allyl radical, alkoxy radical, halogen atom or hydrogen atom that may be substituted, and n is a positive integer indicating the average degree of polymerization.
