An azomethine composition of matter having the general formula: ##STR8## wherein: R and R 1 are independently selected from the group consisting of H, CH 3 , OCH 3 , OCH 2 CH 3 and Cl; n is an integer from 1 to 5; X is selected from the group consisting of Cl, CH 3 and OCH 3 ; Y is N-R 2 , wherein R 2 is an alkylene oxide polymer containing about 4 to about 200 groups; and, Z is selected from the group consisting of O and Y.
