A barrier stretch film comprising: (a) an outer layer comprising a heat sealable polymeric material selected from the group consisting of ethylene vinyl acetate copolymer, ethylene butyl acrylate copolymer, linear low density polyethylene, and polyester; (b) a first interior layer comprising an oxygen barrier polymeric material; (c) a second interior layer comprising a high molecular weight polymeric material; (d) an inner layer comprising a copolyamide, and (e) a polymeric adhesive disposed between the second interior and inner layers; wherein said film is a lay-flat tubular film having its interior lay-flat surfaces self-welded.
