Claim 1
Independent Claim
97 words
The process for the production of a faujasite zeolite containing tin in its tetrahedral framework having the chemical composition: (1-a)XAlO.sub.2 :a SnO.sub.2 :5-200 SiO.sub.2 where a=0.2 to 0.7 and X is a charge balancing cation, said process comprising the steps of hydrothermally treating a host zeolite having an Si/Al ratio of about 5 to 200, in an acid medium captable of dealuminizing the zeolite, which acid medium contains a tin compound, which treating is conducted at a temperature from about 100-220° C. and for a time sufficient to produce a zeolite having tin in the tetrahedral framework.
Claim 2
Dependent Claim
