Abstract
Abstract A pumping apparatus for supplying fuel to an internal combustion engine has a high pressure pump, an adjustable throttle member which is utilized to control the fuel flow from a low pressure to the high pressure pump. An electromagnetic actuator is utilized to adjust the setting of the throttle member and a hydraulic damping device is provided to damp the movement of the throttle member.
