Abstract

Abstract To protect a door lock mechanism for an automotive vehicle from water or freezing, the door lock mechanism is arranged between a base plate member and a resin protective cover; the upper end portions of the base plate are covered by peripheral walls extending from the walls of the protective cover; the control levers are led out toward the outside through lead-out openings formed horizontally outward between the end surface of the base plate member and the lower surface of the peripheral wall of the protective cover; and some U-shaped control levers are led out through the lead-out openings so as to take a long way around the side edges of the peripheral walls of the protective cover at the lead-out openings.
