Abstract
Abstract Quaternary ammonium compounds corresponding to the formula <IMAGE> are produced by esterification of ether amines corresponding to the formula <IMAGE> with a fatty acid of the formula R2-COOH and quaternization of the product obtained with an alkyl halide or a dialkyl sulfate. They are suitable for use as conditioning and revitalizing agents in hair-cosmetic preparations.
