Abstract A fat which comprises a soft fat obtained by fractionation of laurin fat having an iodine value of 30-40, a melting point of not higher than 15° C., and SFI of 10-30 at 5° C., 0-20 at 10° C., 0-10 at 15° C., and 0 at 20° C. A food containing the same is also disclosed.
