Abstract

Abstract The disclosure relates to a triboelectrically charging member including a surface formed with an amorphous carbon film containing at least carbon, hydrogen and fluorine atoms. The amorphous carbon film is formed by plasma polymerization with a glow discharge method. The triboelectrically charging member of the present invention has high hardness, is excellent in friction resistance and can retain a good copy image quality over time.
