Abstract

Abstract A color photographic recording material for the dye diffusion transfer process contains color producing compounds in the form of a dispersion of particles of an ionically modified polyaddition or polycondensation product containing from 4 to 180 milliequivalents of ionic groups per 100 g, which particles are charged or loaded with the color producing compound. When development is carried out by heat treatment, color transfers with high maximum densities and low minimum densities are obtained.

Total Claims: 8
Claim 1
Independent Claim 116 words
A photographic recording material having at least one supported layer of binder containing a light sensitive silver halide and at least one non-diffusible color providing compound capable of releasing a diffusible dye upon development, said color providing compound being contained in the binder layer in the form of a dispersion of particles of an ionically modified polymer which is charged or loaded with the color providing compound wherein the ionically modified polymer is an ionomeric polyaddition or polycondensation product containing from 4 to 180 milliequivalents of ionic groups per 100 g and is selected from the group consisting of polyurethanes, polyesters, polyamides, polyureas, polycarbonates, polyacetals, polyethers and ionomeric products belonging to two or more types thereof.
Claim 2
Dependent Claim 116 words
Claim 3
Dependent Claim 21 words
Recording material according to claim 1, characterised in that the dispersion has an average particle size of less than 150 nm.
Claim 4
Dependent Claim 24 words
Recording material according to claim 1, characterised in that the ionically modified polymer is a polyurethane which may contain ether, ester and/or urea structures.
Claim 5
Dependent Claim 31 words
Recording material according to claim 3, characterised in that the ionically modified polymer contains from 1 to 20% by weight of alkylene oxide units in the form of a polyether chain.
Claim 6
Dependent Claim 22 words
Recording material according to claims 1,3,4 or 2, characterised in that the color providing compound is a redox active dye releasing compound.
Claim 7
Dependent Claim 17 words
Recording material according to claims 1,3,4 or 2, characterised in that it is developable by heat treatment.
Claim 8
Dependent Claim 27 words
Recording material according to claim 6, characterised in that it contains in one of its layers a compound which is alkaline in action under the processing conditions.
