Abstract
Abstract An apparatus having a combustible gas detecting sensor and an O 2 gas detecting sensor which are provided separately of each other, the combustible gas detecting sensor made of zirconia solid electrolyte and having an electrode exposed to reference gas and a molybdenum disilicide electrode exposed to gas to be measured, wherein the combustible gas detecting sensor is heated to an operating temperature which is different from the heating temperature of the O 2 detecting sensor, thereby to measure the concentration of a wide range of combustible gas in the gas to be measured which is in an O 2 gas rich state, by calculation based on the respective outputs of the two sensors.
