Abstract

Abstract The inclusion of proteases with an isoelectric point of less than 10.0 in a detergent composition which comprises a certain, immunologically defined, class of lipases causes a significantly reduced effect of proteases on lipases in comparison with other proteases. The overall performance of the lipase-containing detergent compositions is substantially less affected by these proteases with a pI of less than 10.0.

Claims Analysis

Total Claims: 5
Claim 1
Independent Claim 64 words
A detergent composition comprising from 1-50% by weight of one or more detergent surfactants, from 0.1-50 GU/mg of a protease and from 0.05-100 LU/mg of a lipase, wherein the protease has an isoelectric point of less than 10.0 and the lipase is a lipase which shows a positive immunological cross-reaction with the antibody of the lipase produced by Chromobacter viscosum var. lipolyticum NRRL B-3673.
Claim 2
Dependent Claim 64 words
A detergent composition comprising from 1-50% by weight of one or more detergent surfactants, from 0.1-50 GU/mg of a protease and from 0.05-100 LU/mg of a lipase, wherein the protease has an isoelectric point of less than 10.0 and the lipase is a lipase which shows a positive immunological cross-reaction with the antibody of the lipase produced by Chromobacter viscosum var. lipolyticum NRRL B-3673.
Claim 3
Dependent Claim 17 words
A composition according to claim 1, wherein the protease has an isoelectric point of less than 9.
Claim 4
Dependent Claim 15 words
A composition according to claim 1, wherein the protease has an isoelectric point of 7.4.
Claim 5
Dependent Claim 35 words
A composition according to claim 1, wherein the lipase is selected from the group consisting of the lipases producible by Pseudomonas fluorescens, Pseudomonas fragi, Pseudomonas nitroreducens var. lipolyticum, Psuedomonas cepacia, Pseudomonas gladioli and Chromobacter viscosum.
