Abstract
Abstract A low mass fuser roll using system incorporates a flexible web member to maintain copy sheets in biased contact with the fuser roll during the fusing operation. The web is fabricated so as to include perforations in a portion of the web area downstream from the fuser nip permitting moisture buildup from certain types of copy media to be vented. The web also has an electrically conductive coating to reduce friction. In another modification to the fabric web, a teflon strip is incorporated along the width of the web along the strip adjacent to the fuser nip, area to reduce the friction at the nip and reduce jamming or stalling tendencies.
