Abstract

Abstract A vapor generating and recovery apparatus for vaporizing a liquid and condensing a vapor, the apparatus including a container having a liquid therein with a heating and cooling system in heat transfer relation with the liquid and vapor in the container. The heating and cooling system includes means to vaporize the liquid and means to condense the vaporized liquid disposed within the container. The apparatus further includes means to remove liquid from the container and return same to the container into the liquid below the top surface of the liquid in the form of a spray at boiling or higher temperatures to provide agitation of the liquid sufficient to create treating action on objects which have been placed in the liquid.

Claims Analysis

Total Claims: 8
Claim 1
Independent Claim 106 words
In a vapor generating and recovering apparatus for vaporizing a liquid and condensing vapor, including a housing having at least one compartment therein, said compartment having a liquid and a vapor therein, the improvement comprising: first heating means in a liquid zone in said compartment; first cooling means in a vapor zone in the compartment; and, liquid circulating agitation means to remove liquid from the liquid zone and return said liquid back into the liquid zone in said compartment beneath the top surface of the liquid whereby agitation of the liquid is sufficient to create treating action on objects which have been placed in the liquid.
Claim 2
Dependent Claim 106 words
In a vapor generating and recovering apparatus for vaporizing a liquid and condensing vapor, including a housing having at least one compartment therein, said compartment having a liquid and a vapor therein, the improvement comprising: first heating means in a liquid zone in said compartment; first cooling means in a vapor zone in the compartment; and, liquid circulating agitation means to remove liquid from the liquid zone and return said liquid back into the liquid zone in said compartment beneath the top surface of the liquid whereby agitation of the liquid is sufficient to create treating action on objects which have been placed in the liquid.
Claim 3
Dependent Claim 25 words
In the vapor generating and recovering apparatus of claim 1, said means to remove liquid including second heat means to add heat to said liquid.
Claim 4
Dependent Claim 25 words
In the vapor generating and recovering apparatus of claim 2, said second heat means being from the same heat source as said first heat means.
Claim 5
Dependent Claim 23 words
In the vapor generating and recovering apparatus of claim 2, said second heat means being from a source separate from said first means.
Claim 6
Dependent Claim 38 words
In the vapor generating and recovering apparatus of claim 1, said first heating means and said first cooling means being a refrigeration system, said first heat means being the condenser and said first cooling means being the evaporator.
Claim 7
Dependent Claim 24 words
In the vapor generating and recovering apparatus of claim 1, said liquid circulating means including means to agitate the liquid at a preselected location.
Claim 8
Dependent Claim 34 words
In the vapor generating and recovery apparatus of claim 1, said housing having a plurality of compartments, said first heating means, said first cooling means, and said liquid circulating means being in preselected compartments.
