Claims Analysis

Total Claims: 5
Claim 1
Independent Claim 69 words
A method of operating a laser comprising the steps of: generating a laser beam; providing an optical component in an atmosphere of dry air or dry inert gas; irradiating said optical component with said laser beam, said optical component being provided with an optical film through which said laser beam passes, which comprises at least a layer of calcogenide glass and a layer of potassium chloride or lead fluoride.
Claim 2
Independent Claim 69 words
A method of operating a laser comprising the steps of: generating a laser beam; providing an optical component in an atmosphere of dry air or dry inert gas; irradiating said optical component with said laser beam, said optical component being provided with an optical film through which said laser beam passes, which comprises at least a layer of calcogenide glass and a layer of potassium chloride or lead fluoride.
Claim 3
Dependent Claim 16 words
A method as in claim 1 wherein said calcogenide glass is As 2 Se 3 .
Claim 4
Dependent Claim 32 words
A method as in claim 1 wherein said optical film comprises a layer of As 2 Se 3 , a layer of KCl and another layer of As 2 Se 3 .
Claim 5
