Abstract
Abstract Herbicidally active novel 1-phenyl-4-cyano-5-halogenopyrazoles of the formula ##STR1## in which R is hydrogen or alkyl, Hal is halogen, and Ar is phenyl substituted at least once by a radical other than halogen. Intermediates of the formulas ##STR2## are also new.
