Abstract

Abstract A servo control apparatus which performs accurate servo control has a voltage controlled oscillator which provides a signal which has an oscillation frequency based on the servo information stored on the disk, a reversible counter which counts the output signal of the voltage controlled oscillator for addition or substraction, and a stepping motor which is driven by the counted output of such reversible counter for positioning a head relative to a disk. A "window" for setting the signal supply period for the reversible counter is generated in sychronization with the servo data.
