Abstract
Abstract Apparatus for making a molded plastic snap-fastener in-situ on a porous substrate, such as fabric. The apparatus includes dies defining a mold cavity therebetween and an ultrasonic head for melting and shaping plastic in the mold cavity. A hinged stripper surrounds a die and when actuated engages the fabric to remove the molded fastener from the die cavity.
