Claim 1
Independent Claim
124 words
An adjustable chair for fitting a wheelchair to an individual, said adjustable chair comprising: a seat section having an upper surface and a front edge; a back section having a front surface which is disposed substantially perpendicularly to the upper surface of the seat section, and wherein said upper surface of the seat section and the front surface of the back section are provided with a network of uniformly spaced horizontal and perpendicular lines to facilitate measuring of the individual; and means for laterally adjusting distance from the front surface of the back section to the front edge of the seat section while retaining the substantially perpendicular relationship between the front surface of the back section and the upper surface of the seat section.
Claim 2
Dependent Claim
Claim 3
Dependent Claim
81 words
The adjustable chair of claim 1, further comprising: arm rest, each arm rest having an upper surface which is substantially parallel to the upper surface of said seat section, and each arm rest having a longitudinal axis, the longitudinal axes of said two arm rests being substantially parallel to one another; means for vertical adjustment of the two arm rests in relation to the seat section; and means for lateral adjustment of said two arm rests in relation to each other;
Claim 4
Dependent Claim
42 words
The adjustable chair of claim 1, further comprising: a foot rest having an upper surface which is substantially parallel to said upper surface of said seat section; and means for vertical adjustment of the foot rest in relation to the seat section.
Claim 5
Dependent Claim
18 words
The adjustable chair of claim 3, further comprising indicia to aid in measurement of leg-length of an individual.
Claim 6
Dependent Claim
24 words
The adjustable chair of claim 4, further comprising front legs and back legs, and wherein said indicia comprises numbered intervals on said front legs.
Claim 7
Dependent Claim
16 words
The adjustable chair of claim 3, further comprising means to determine leg-length descrepancies of an individual.
Claim 8
Dependent Claim
48 words
The adjustable chair of claim 6, wherein said means to determine leg-length discrepancies comprises a leg-length section having indicia thereon, said leg-length section having a front surface which is substantially parallel to the front surface of said back section, said leg-length section being disposed below said seat section.
Claim 9
Dependent Claim
16 words
The adjustable chair of claim 1, wherein said back section and said seat section are transparent.
Claim 10
Dependent Claim
86 words
An adjustable chair for fitting a wheelchair to an individual, said adjustable chair comprising: a transparent back section having a front surface; a transparent seat section secured to said back section, said seat section having a front edge and an upper surface, said front surface of the back section and said upper surface of the seat section being provided with a network of uniformly spaced horizontal and perpendicular lines; and means for laterally moving the back section relatively to the front edge of the seat section.
