Abstract
Abstract A maleic acid-modified polyolefin prepared by graft polymerization of maleic anhydride to polyolefin in the presence of a compound having the formula (I): <IMAGE> (I) in which each of R1, R2, R3 and R4 is independently an alkyl group having 1-6 carbon atoms; and each of X and Y is independently any one of the hydrogen atom, an alkyl group having 1-6 carbon atoms and a halogen atom. A process for the preparation of said maleic acid-modified polyolefin is also disclosed.
