Abstract
Abstract New nitroaminophenols, the process for preparation thereof and their use in dyeing keratinous fibres, and new intermediate nitroaminobenzenes and their use in dyeing keratinous fibres. The invention relates to a nitroaminophenol of formula: <IMAGE> (I) in which Z denotes -CH2W, W denoting H, C1-C6 alkyl, C1-C6 hydroxyalkyl, C2-C6 polyhydroxyalkyl, (C1-C3), alkoxy(C1-C6)alkyl or (C1-C3)hydroxyalkoxy(C1-C6)-alkyl and R denotes H, (C1-C6)alkyl, C1-C6 hy-droxyalkyl, C2-C6 polyhydroxyalkyl or (C1-C3)-alkoxy(C1-C6)alkyl, and the process for preparation thereof, and the intermediate compound of formula: <IMAGE> (II') in which R' denotes C1-C6 hydroxyalkyl, C2-C6 polyhydroxyalkyl or (C1-C3)alkoxy(C1-C6)alkyl and the process for preparation thereof. The dyes of formulae (I) and (II') can be used in direct dyeing of keratinous fibres, in particular, human hair.
