Abstract
Abstract A method for forming a cell and a cell for an electric double layer capacitor includes a membrane formed from a solid protronic conducting electrolyte separating two electrodes. Each electrode is a composite electrode formed by a mixture of at least one electronic conductor and a solid electrolyte. Preferably, the solid electrolyte of the composite electrodes and the membrane is chosen from a group consisting of uranyl phosphate H 3 O UO 2 PO 4 3H 2 ), zirconium phosphate Zr(HPO 4 ) 2 nH 2 O, or derivatives of these compounds.
