An organopolysiloxane composition of matter, comprising: (A) 100 parts of a methylphenylpolysiloxane resin, in organic solvent solution, which comprises recurring units of the formulae CH 3 SiO 1 .5, (CH 3 ) 2 SiO, (C 6 H 5 )CH 3 SiO, C 6 H 5 SiO 1 .5 and (C 6 H 5 ) 2 SiO, distributed in a C 6 H 5 /Si ratio of 0.3 to 0.85 and a (C 6 H 5 +CH 3 )/Si ratio of 1.1 to 1.65, and having a concentration of hydroxyl groups bonded to silicon atoms of 0.5 to 9%; (B) 3 to 25 parts of a finely divided silica having a BET specific surface of at least 40 m 2 /g; and (C) 5 to 45 parts of aluminum powder, with the proviso that the weight ratio [(B)+(C)]/(A) ranges from 0.15 to 0.50
