Claims Analysis
Total Claims: 4
Claim 1
Independent Claim
119 words
A method of manufacturing an antenna comprising the steps of: positioning and anchoring a helically shaped wire within a mold, positioning a retainer about an end of said helically shaped wire within said mold, injecting a dielectric material into the mold to fill the interior of the helically shaped wire and an area within said retainer about said wire end for maintaining the position of the end and supporting the helically shaped wire, then placing the helically shaped wire in a second mold, injection molding an outer covering over the helically shaped wire and a portion of said retainer, and positioning a resilient conductive contact within the retainer in electrical engagement with said end of the helically shaped wire.
Claim 2
Claim 3
Dependent Claim
18 words
A method of manufacturing an antenna as defined in claim 1, in which: the dielectric material comprises polypropylene.
Claim 4
Dependent Claim
18 words
A method of manufacturing an antenna as defined in claim 1, in which: the outer covering comprises polyurethane.
