Abstract
Abstract A method and bath for electro-chemically resharpening of a metallic cutting tool wherein the bath is composed of an aqueous solution of phosphoric acid and sulphuric acid to which is added the stabilizers of chromic acid, nickel carbonate and ferric oxide. An electrical potential is applied to the cutting tool within the bath within the range of one-half volt to six volts for a period of between one and twenty minutes depending upon the type of part (size and construction) that is being resharpened. Preferred temperature of usage for the bath will be approximately seventy-five degrees Fahrenheit.
