Abstract A ternary polymer alloy containing a poly(arylene sulfide), a poly(amide imide), and at least one of a poly(aryl ketone) and a poly(aryl sulfone). The polymer alloy optionally can contain a fibrous reinforcing material such as a glass fiber.

A polymer composition comprising: (a) a poly(arylene sulfide) resin present in an amount of about 10 to 90 weight percent based on the total weight of the polymer composition; (b) a poly(amide-imide) resin present in an amount of 10 to 40 weight percent based on the total weight of the polymer composition; and (c) at least one resin selected from the group consisting of a poly(aryl ketone) resin and a poly(aryl sulfone) resin present in an amount of about 5 to 80 weight percent based on the total weight of the polymer composition.
