Abstract

Abstract An anisotropically electroconductive adhesive which is solid at room temperature, preferably, in the form of a film is prepared by dispersing conductive particles such as metal particles and the like in a thermoplastic insulating adhesive composition comprising an unvulcanized thermoplastic elastomer such as a styrene-based elastomer and a crosslinked synthetic rubber and/or thermoplastic elastomer as a vulcanizate derived from an unvulcanized synthetic rubber or thermoplastic elastomer using a vulcanizing agent such as organic peroxides. The conductive adhesive is useful in adhesively bonding, for example, two electronic circuit boards without disadvantages of instability of the electric resistance, inconvenience in the application and so on.
