Abstract

Abstract A device for treating a surplus warp yarn drawn from a warp beam of a loom consists of a drive member rotatable by the warp beam. A rotational force of the drive member is transmitted through a transmission device to a driven member. The driven member is secured to a take-up reel disposed separate from the warp beam. The surplus warp yarn drawn from the warp beam is wound up on the take-up reel rotatable with the driven member, thereby preventing the surplus warp yarn from getting entangled with regular warp yarns drawn from the warp beam.
