Claim 1
Independent Claim
90 words
in a crankcase compression, two-cycle internal combustion engine having a cylinder and a crankcase, a piston reciprocating in said cylinder and a transfer passage extending between said crankcase and said cylinder for transferring a charge from said crankcase to said cylinder, said transfer passage having a horizontally extending portion defined by a lower horizontal wall upon which fuel condensation may collect, the improvement comprising separate conduit means for directing a high velocity flow along and intersecting said horizontal wall towards said cylinder for purging said horizontal wall of condensed fuel.
Claim 2
Dependent Claim

in a crankcase compression, two-cycle internal combustion engine having a cylinder and a crankcase, a piston reciprocating in said cylinder and a transfer passage extending between said crankcase and said cylinder for transferring a charge from said crankcase to said cylinder, said transfer passage having a horizontally extending portion defined by a lower horizontal wall upon which fuel condensation may collect, the improvement comprising separate conduit means for directing a high velocity flow along and intersecting said horizontal wall towards said cylinder for purging said horizontal wall of condensed fuel.
Claim 3
Dependent Claim
56 words
In a crankcase compression, two-cycle internal combustion engine as set forth in claim 1 wherein there are a plurality of cylinders and crankcases with respective transfer passages, the conduit menas communicating the crankcase chamber associated with one cylinder with the transfer passage of another cylinder and wherein the pistons are out of phase with each other.
Claim 4
Dependent Claim
27 words
In a crankcase compression, two-cycle internal combustion engine as set forth in claim 2 further including check valve means for precluding reverse flow through the conduit means.
Claim 5
Dependent Claim
25 words
In a crankcase compression, two-cycle internal combustion engine as set forth in claim 1 wherein the conduit means communicates at one end with the atmosphere.
Claim 6
Dependent Claim
34 words
In a crankcase compression, two-cycle internal combustion engine as set forth in claim 4 further including a check valve in the conduit means for preventing reverse flow from the transfer passage to the atmosphere.
Claim 7
Dependent Claim
33 words
In a crankcase compression, two-cycle internal combustion engine as set forth in claim 1 wherein the high velocity flow is delivered from the crankcase associated with the respective cylinder through the conduit means.
Claim 8
Dependent Claim
24 words
In a crankcase compression, two-cycle internal combustion engine as set forth in claim 6 further including an accumulator chamber interposed in the conduit means.
Claim 9
Dependent Claim
35 words
In a crankcase compression, two-cycle internal combustion engine as set forth in claim 7 further including check valve means between the accumulator chamber and the transfer passage for precluding reverse flow through the conduit means.
