Abstract

Abstract A cassette for recording an image on a film which has an electrically conductive layer which is wound on a reel rotatably supported within a cassette casing includes a contact piece for grounding which is mounted on a reel body. A clamp is engaged with the reel body so as to press the film against the contact piece. The contact piece slide-contacts a reel retainer secured to the cassette casing, thereby allowing the film to be electrically connected to the reel retainer through the contact piece. The reel container is connected to a contact member which projects to the outside of the cassette casing, and this contact member is connected to a contact provided on an apparatus into which the cassette is loaded, thereby effecting grounding.
