Abstract

Abstract A moldable composition for use in making sealing members for articles is disclosed. The composition is a mixture of a major amount of an elastomeric material, an amount of filler at least 30 parts per hundred by weight of said elastomeric material, a sufficient amount of catalyst to polymerize said elastomeric material and an amount of oil between 2.5 and 20 parts per hundred by weight of said elastomeric material said oil being incompatible with said elastomeric material. Surface portions of said sealing members have inherent lubricity thus lowering the coefficient of friction of said members.
