Abstract
Abstract A food weight measuring device including a turntable for carrying a foostuff, a supporting shaft for supporting the turntable, a detector for detecting the amount of change in a thrust direction of the turntable supporting shaft, responsive to the weight of the food, a converter for converting the amount of change amount in a thrust direction of the turntable supporting shaft to a change in the electrostatic capacity, and means for preventing liquid or dust from contaminating to the coverter.
