Abstract
Abstract A centrifuge rotor having a base plate with a plurality of support posts mounted thereon. Each support post receives and supports the radially inner end of a sample container support element formed of a wound composite material. The outer end-turn of the support element receives and supports a sample container. The side walls of the support element are arranged to lie generally radially of the central vertical axis of the rotor.
