Abstract

Abstract A system for controlling the amount of intake air of an engine at cold engine operation. A control valve is provided in a bypass around a throttle valve of the engine. The opening degree of the control valve is determined by the opening degree of the throttle valve. When the throttle valve is closed to a position near a throttle valve closed position, the control valve is gradually closed.
