Claim 1
Independent Claim
66 words
A method for protecting or healing injuries of mammalian gastro-duodenal mucosa caused by ethanol, aspirin or taurochalic acid contacting said mucosa, which comprises: orally administrating to said mammals a gastro-duodenal mucosal protective effective amount of an aqueous soluble composition consisting essentially of a fatty acid selected from the group consisting of arachidonic acid and linoleic acid and a pharmaceutically acceptable water solubilizing surface active agent therefor.
Claim 2
Independent Claim

A method for protecting or healing injuries of mammalian gastro-duodenal mucosa caused by ethanol, aspirin or taurochalic acid contacting said mucosa, which comprises: orally administrating to said mammals a gastro-duodenal mucosal protective effective amount of an aqueous soluble composition consisting essentially of a fatty acid selected from the group consisting of arachidonic acid and linoleic acid and a pharmaceutically acceptable water solubilizing surface active agent therefor.
Claim 3
Dependent Claim
13 words
A method according to claim 1 wherein the fatty acid is arachidonic acid.
Claim 4
Dependent Claim
13 words
A method according to claim 1 wherein the fatty acid is linoleic acid.
Claim 5
Dependent Claim
17 words
A method according to claim 1 wherein the surface active agent is a non-ionic surface active agent.
Claim 6
Dependent Claim
