Claims Analysis

Total Claims: 13
Claim 1
Independent Claim 59 words
A method for protecting or healing injuries of the mammalian liver caused by heptatotoxic substances, which comprises: orally administrating to said mammals a liver protective effective amount of an aqueous soluble composition consisting essentially of a fatty acid selected from the group consisting of arachidonic acid and linoleic acid and a pharmaceutically acceptable water solubilizing surface active agent therefor.
Claim 2
Independent Claim 59 words
A method for protecting or healing injuries of the mammalian liver caused by heptatotoxic substances, which comprises: orally administrating to said mammals a liver protective effective amount of an aqueous soluble composition consisting essentially of a fatty acid selected from the group consisting of arachidonic acid and linoleic acid and a pharmaceutically acceptable water solubilizing surface active agent therefor.
Claim 3
Dependent Claim 13 words
A method according to claim 1 wherein the fatty acid is arachidonic acid.
Claim 4
Dependent Claim 13 words
A method according to claim 1 wherein the fatty acid is linoleic acid.
Claim 5
Dependent Claim 17 words
A method according to claim 1 wherein the surface active agent is a non-ionic surface active agent.
Claim 6
Dependent Claim 19 words
A method according to claim 4 wherein the non-ionic surface active agent is a polyethenoxy non-ionic surface active agent.
Claim 7
Dependent Claim 12 words
A method according to claim 1 wherein said heptatotoxic substance is ethanol.
Claim 8
Dependent Claim 66 words
An orally administratable pharmaceutical composition for protecting or healing the liver of a mammal or the gastro-duodenal mucosa of a mammal, said composition consisting essentially of a protective effective amount of a fatty acid selected from the group consisting of arachidonic acid and linoleic acid and a fatty acid aqueous solubilizing effective amount of a pharmaceutically acceptable water solubilizing surface active agent for said fatty acid.
Claim 9
Dependent Claim 66 words
An orally administratable pharmaceutical composition for protecting or healing the liver of a mammal or the gastro-duodenal mucosa of a mammal, said composition consisting essentially of a protective effective amount of a fatty acid selected from the group consisting of arachidonic acid and linoleic acid and a fatty acid aqueous solubilizing effective amount of a pharmaceutically acceptable water solubilizing surface active agent for said fatty acid.
Claim 10
Dependent Claim 13 words
A composition according to claim 7 wherein said fatty acid is arachidonic acid.
Claim 11
Dependent Claim 13 words
A composition according to claim 7 wherein said fatty acid is linoleic acid.
Claim 12
Dependent Claim 17 words
A composition according to claim 7 wherein the surface active agent is a non-ionic surface active agent.
Claim 13
Dependent Claim 19 words
A composition according to claim 10 wherein the non-ionic surface active agent is a polyethenoxy non-ionic surface active agent.
