Abstract

Abstract A part program creation method for creating an NC part program comprising a graphic definition statement defining a graphic (MFIG), a motion definition statement defining motion of a tool (TL), and auxiliary machining information such as feed velocity and spindle rotational velocity, the method having steps of storing in a memory along with respective graphic identifiers, motion definition statements conforming to respective ones of the graphics, entering a graphic identifier and defining the graphic (MFIG) by specifying a point (P 1 ), straight lines (S 1 -S 4 ) and circular arcs, and creating a part program by combining the motion definition statement, which corresponds to the entered graphic identifier, and the defined graphic definition statement.
