A disposable hairdresser's masking sheet of flexible material for insulating selected strands of a head of hair from other strands of the hair while selected strands are subjected to a colouring agent, said sheet comprising a substrate of flexible material configured as two adjacent portions having a common boundary defined by a hinge about which one of said adjacent portions is pivotable relative to the other so as to encapsulate said selected strands and securing means carried by said substrate and adapted to engage said selected strands, whereby application of the securing means to said selected strands removably unites said sheet with said selected strands.
