Abstract
Abstract A device for detecting a position of an object including apparatus for producing a light beam, apparatus for scanningly deflecting the light beam with respect to the object, apparatus for sensing an image of the object resulting from the scan and accumulating information therefrom as an electric signal, apparatus for outputting the signal from the sensing and accumulating apparatus when the scan is complete, and apparatus for detecting the position of the object on the basis of the signal output from the sensing and accumulating apparatus.
