Abstract

Abstract Uniform droplets of a bead-forming liquid are produced by positioning the end of a capillary tube in the throat of a venturi. An immiscible fluid flowing through the venturi detaches the droplets from the end of the capillary tube to produce uniform, spherical droplets which harden into spheroidal beads which have a uniform size.
