Abstract
Abstract Compounds of formula I ##STR1## are described which are useful to inhibit the formation of serum cholesterol by virtue of their ability to inhibit β-hydroxy-β-methylglutaryl-CoA(HMG CoA), the rate-controlling substance in the synthesis of serum cholesterol.
