Abstract
Abstract An apparatus for using electrochemical methods to measure small concentrations of bacteria is described. The apparatus includes a container or cell into which a liquid sample to be measured is placed. Within the cell are mounted electrodes separated by a suitable filter paper to concentrate the bacteria sample. An appropriate electrical circuit is connected to the electrodes to apply a potential therebetween while permitting the current in the electrical circuit to be measured. The measured current is related to the bacteria concentration.
