Claims Analysis

Total Claims: 3
Claim 1
Independent Claim 121 words
A method of treating hair for purposes of strengthening and improving the physical properties thereof comprising the steps of contacting the hair with an aqueous hair treating composition having a pH value of about 2 to about 7 and including about 0.001 to about 10 weight percent of a water-dispersible, non-toxic polyvalent metal salt of a mineral acid selected from the group consisting of aluminum sulfate, aluminum chloride, cerium (III) nitrate, ferric chloride, ferric sulfate, ferric nitrate, aluminum chlorohydrate, a propylene glycol coordination complex of aluminum chlorohydrate, a coordination complex of aluminum zirconium tetrachlorohydrate and glycine and mixtures thereof, rubbing the composition into the hair and maintaining said composition thereon for a period of at least 6 to about 24 hours.
Claim 2
Claim 3
Dependent Claim 16 words
The method of claim 1 wherein said metal salt of a mineral acid is aluminum sulfate.
